Description: Courtney and me dig a pit or dirt shelter next to a creek and try to survive 24 hours overnight in the Northern wilderness with no food, water or shelter. My Gear (Shop and Support): thewoodedbeardsman.com/shop We bring with us a Zach Fowler survival shovel, a collapsible fishing rod, hooks and sinkers, and dig up live bait to catch survival food along the natural spring fed creek. The shelter is dug down about 3-4 feet, and then lined with comfortable moss, then covered over top with evergreen branches to protect from the rain, and biting insects. To dig a pit shelter, it is imperative to find soil that is easy to dig and is relatively free of roots.
